LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Saturday arrested five more suspects in its campaign against those involved in illegal currency business and its smuggling.

According to FIA, a team raided currency outlets at Maharaja Road, Sialkot, and arrested Ahmad Rahim, Muhammad Aziz, Ismail Ali, Aziz Sajid and Muhammad Asif for illegally running hawala and hundi business. A sum of Rs1.58 million has been recovered from the suspects.

They have been booked under the Foreign Exchange Regulation Act 1947. —Staff Reporter
