Shops inside dilapidated Gojra temple building sealed again

TOBA TEK SINGH: The desealed shops located inside an abandoned and dilapidated building of a Hindu temple at Gojra were again sealed by the administration in the light of an inquiry report of Punjab Auqaf Department on Saturday.
The local building department had already declared the temple`s building as `dangerous` due to its dilapidated roof.
Two portions of the old building had caved in two weeksago, leaving three persons seriously injured.
Following the incident, Gojra Municipal Committee (MC) had sealed several shops located inside the building to avert harm to the lives of shopkeepers and visitors. However, after three days, the MC officials had de-sealed the shops.
Muhammad Ilyas, an officer of the Punjab Auqaf Department, visited Gojra after surfacing of media reports about the temple and inspected the dilapidatedbuilding.
The officer filed a report to the high-ups of the department,and in the light of his findings the deputy commissioner again got shops sealed on Saturday.
MURDERED: A man was allegedly murdered by his rivals over a property dispute at Chak 141 GB of Faisalabad`s Samundri tehsil on Saturday.
According to Samundri Sadar police, suspects Hamid Ali, Jawad Ahmad and Imran opened indiscriminate fire on Syed Akmal Hussain, leaving him critically injured.
He was rushed to Samundri Tehsil Headquarters Hospital where he succumbed to his wounds.Meanwhile, a motorcyclist died af ter he was hit by a bus on Faisalabad Road near Mochiwala, Jhang district.
The deceased, identified as Unman (18), was returning to Jhang from a village when a bus coming from the opposite direetion ran over his bike. As a result, the youngster died on the spot.
FIRE: Four persons of a family were seriously burnt when a fire broke out in their house in Muzaffar Colony, Samanabad, Faisalabad, late on Friday night.
Rescue 1122 officials said thefamily had burnt a stack of firewood inside a room of their house to stay warm. The fire, they said, suddenly spread in the room and engulfed clothes and furniture lying there.
As a result, four persons suffered severe burns, who were shifted to the Government General Hospital, Samanabad, where doctors referred three of them to the Allied Hospital`s burns unit.
The injured included Jawad Akbar (40), his son Habibur Rehman (18), cousin Abbas Nasir (38) and sister-in-law Umme Habiba (28).
