ISLAMABAD: A new exhibition on Tuesday allowed art lovers to step into the world of acclaimed photographer Hassan, where light, shadow and humanity converged to tellcaptivating stories.
The show organised by Alliance Francaise and Nomad Art Gallery, was Hassan`s latest to unveil a visual odyssey, tracing the evolution of his signature style in street photography and his relentless pursuit of artistic excellence.
According to the organisers, Hassan`s journey began with a youthful curiosity and an eagerness to explore diverse photographic themes.
Early experiments with nature, landscapes, portraiture and fashion laid the foundation for his artistic vision.
However, as his craft matured, it was the vibrant, unpredictable energy of street photography that captured his heart.
The streets of bustling cities became Hassan`s canvas and their inhabitants, his subjects.
With an intuitive eye, he immortalised fleeting moments: the quiet resilience of a solitary figure, a candid exchange between strangers, or the raw emotion etched onto a passerby`s face.
Through these vignettes, he reveals the profound beauty hiddenin everydaylife.
At the core of Hassan`s artistry lies his fascination with light, said Nageen Hyat, director of Nomad Art Gallery.
`For me, photography is all about the play of light,` heexplained. `I see the world in terms of light and shadow.
His work demonstrated how this duality could transform ordinary scenes into dramatic, mysterious and compelling narratives. By skillfully harnessing light, Hassan imbued his images with depth and emotion, inviting viewers to pause and reflect.
The exhibition also offered an intimate look at Hassan`screative evolution. Visitors could trace his journey from his early explorations to his mastery of capturing transient urban stories.
It was a celebration not only of his technical skill but also of his ability to connect deeply with the human experience.
Hassan`s work challenged visitors to see the world anew.
Through his lens, visitors were reminded of the beauty andcomplexity in fleeting moments and unnoticed details.
`As you navigate the exhibition, consider how light and shadow shape your own daily experiences. Perhaps you, too, will be inspired to view the world through a photographer`s eye,` said the organisers.
Hassan is an award-winning photographer, architect anddesigner with a global perspective shaped by extensive travels.
His work spanned photojournalism, portraits, fashion and event photography. For Hassan, photography is a cathartic and transformative force, enabling him to connect with the world and evoke powerful emotions through his art.
