The petitioners` lawyers contended that the petitioners were leaders of thePTIandtheyhadbeenchargedin multiple cases after Nov 24 and onward protests in Islamabad.
They argued that the petitioners wanted to move the relevant courts for getting relief but they apprehended that they would be arrested in cases of which they had no knowledge.
They stated that last month thepetitioners were granted protective bails by the court with the direction to the government to provide details of cases against them. However, they added that so far the required details had not been provided.
In the case of Asad Qaiser, the DAG stated that they had earlier provided information about cases against him following which his earlier petition was disposed of. They added that now the petitioner had again approached the court with the same prayer.
Mr Qaiser`s counsel stated that the present petition was filed after the Nov 24 protests as new cases had been registered against him and other party leaders about which they had not been provided details.
The DAG stated that Mr Qaiser had been charged in one of the new cases.
He added that a single FIR was also registered against Faisal Tarakai in Islamabad, whereas report was awaited in case of Shahram Tarakai. In other cases, the DAG stated they had yet to receive report from the government.
Meanwhile, Sheharyar Afridi told media persons on the premises of the high court that the PTI`s founder Imran Khan would be acquitted from the high court in Al-Qadir University case as his conviction was on very weak grounds.
He said that Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi had been convicted on political grounds.
He said the government had been pushing the opposition parliamentarians to the wall and they had been facing cases in the high court and other courts.
He added that scores of cases had been registered against PTI lawmakers, which was unparalleled in the country`s history.
Mr Afridi said that now the honors of female family members of lawmakers were even not safe in this country.
Similarly, ex-senator Faisal Javedsaid that PTI founder Imran Khan was a victim of political vendetta and due to same reason he had been awarded 14 years imprisonment in Al-Qadir University reference.
He said that the evidence on record clearly proved that the government had not faced any financial loss in the establishment of the university.
Mr Javed said that despite his socalled conviction the former prime minister was in high spirits inside the prison.
He said that looking at the confidence and body language of Mr Khan, whenever they visited him in the prison, it appeared as if he was a free man.
He added that on Feb 8 they would observe `black day` across the country as their mandate was stolen on that day last year. He said the Feb 2024 was a unique election as the PTI candidates had not been approaching voters rather it was the other way round.
