SOUTH WAZIRISTAN:A promising young journalist, poet and s o e i a 1 a e t iv i s t E h s a n Ahmadzaipassed away here on Tuesday due to cardiac arrest in Gangi Khel area of Wana, Lower South Waziristan.

Ehsan Ahmadzai was a multifaceted individual who, apart from his journalistic pursuits, was also dedicated to the field of teaching and learning. He was known for his sincerity, intelligence and passion for his work.

In this regard Wana Union of Journalists (WUJ) expressed its deep regret and sorrow over his sad demise. In a statement, Wana Union of Journalists chairman described the late journalist`s passing as an `irreparable loss` not only to journalistic community but to the district as a whole.

Ehsan Ahmadzai`s talent, intelligence and dedication to his work will be deeply missed by journalistic community, he said, adding his death has left a void that cannot be filled, and he will be remembered as a good friend and colleague by those who knew him.

The late journalist was laid to rest in his hometown Gangi Khel, Wana, amidst tears and condolences from his loved ones, friends, and colleagues. A large number of tribal elders, ulema, political leaders, and journalists attended his funeral prayers. Correspondent
