Citizen facilitation centre becomes operational in Dera

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Sada-iAman Khidmat Markaz (citizen facilitation centre) has started functioning in Dera city to enable locals to get necessary documents and certificates.
The coordinator of Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Tehwar Abbas, said in a statement that such centres were established in various districts in collaboration with World Bank, Nadra and Economic Affair Division Islamabad.
He said that the centre would improve standard of life of people by providing modern, affordable and reliable digital services to them. The services also include growth monitoring of children for malnutrition, immunisation services and referral of complicatedcases.
Now facilities like issuance of identity card, child registration certificate, family registration certificate, juvenile card and payment of utility bills can be acquired by people under single roof.
GAS LEAKAGE: A minor girl was killed and two persons received burn injuries in a gas leakage explosion at a departmental store in Haji Morah area in the limits of Gomal University police station.
The gas leakage explosion occurred in a small departmental store owned by Rabnawaz Baloch.
As a result, the shopkeeper and two minor girls identified as Hooria Fatima and Warda received burn injuries.
The injured were shifted to Mufti Mehmood Hospital where Hooria Fatima succumbed to her injuries.
TRADERS: The excise and taxa-tion officer, Faheem Nawaz Wazir, has said that all the legitimate concerns of traders will be addressed on priority basis.
He was talking to a delegation of Markazi Tajir Ittehad at his office.
The delegation was led by Markazi Tajir Ittehad president Hameed Ali Rehmani. Other members of the delegation included Malik Ashfaq Chughtai, Kareem Khan Wazir, Haji Khalid Naz, Waseem Nawaz and Lateef, Kareem Nawaz.
Faheem Nawaz said that his department had a strong bond with traders. He said that issues of traders would be addressed through mutual consultation.
The delegation apprised him of their grievances and said that traders were willing to pay Footwari tax, however, imposition of rental tax should be reduced. The ETO assured traders that their issues would be resolved.
