KARACHl: Customs personnel during checking near the Sindh-Balochistan border caught a drug smuggler and seized 11 kilograms of heroin on Tuesday while three people were arrested.

Acting on a tip-off, the customs staffers were checking vehicles at a check post on the RCD Highway and during checking of a Karachi-bound bus, they recovered 11kg of heroin from the luggage of a passenger who was coming from Quetta, while his accomplice escaped.

The customs personnel also caught the driver and the conductor of the bus. An FIR (ASO 21/2017) has been registered by the customs staffers, says a statement.
