RAHIM YAR KHAN: The ethanol chemical leakage from a tanker disrupted traffic on the national highway on Wednesday.
According to Rescue 1122, the tanker carrying 36,000 litres of ethanol chemical, when reached near Manthar Petrol Pump near Sadiqabad, had one of its tyres break.
Almost 12,000 litres of ethanol leaked from the tanker and spread on the road.
Rescue personnel also called the NHMP officials, who suspended one side of traffic on the national highway for safety measures.
After hours of effort, rescuers managed to save 24,000 litres of ethanol.
Later, the second side of the national highway was opened to traffic.
