I S L A M A B A D : Me tr o p olit a n Corporation Islamabad (MCI) Administrator RanaWaqas Anwar on Wednesday said that the corporation wanted to move forward with the consensus of the business community to address their issues and facilitate them in business promotion.
He was visiting the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) on Wednesday.
He said: `I will visit marl(ets to see the encroachments and take measures to remove them in coordination with the ICCI and marl(et associations concerned.
He said the MCI was making a uniform policy to remove all billboards in Islamabad as they are affecting the beauty of the city.
He said that vending zones were being planned to shift pushcarts from marl(ets. He said that lawabiding citizens would get some rebate in property tax.
Mr Rana who is also the acting Deputy Commissioner Islamabad visited the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) along with his team to discuss the overall conditions in the markets of the federal capital.
He said that board tax and trade licence fees should be paid to only one entity from MCI or UC, and the open spaces would be allotted only to the shopkeepers.
