THE Karachi police booked a central leader and three provincial PTI lawmakers for allegedly storming and damaging the property of the Cantonment Board Clifton (April 9).
The truthis that the PTIleaders and residents of Clifton and DHA had staged a peaceful protest demonstration outside the CBC office against the imposition of a new tax on water supply through tankers. Their rightful demand was that the VIP culture should be dispensed with and water be supplied to the area though pipelines and not via tankers.
Rich and poor pay tax to the government for the supply of water but do not benefit.
