A FEW weeks ago, my wife gave birth to a baby boy who could survive only for two days owing to the complications caused by the negligence of a doctor who owns a private clinic in Digri.
My wife was in severe pain and crying for help but nobody was at the clinic for her rescue. As a consequence of negligence ofstaffand the doctor,the child suffered internal injuries.
The situation aggravated owing to the delay in removing birth fluid which accumulated in the baby`s lungs. That caused severe breathing complications for the child.
I moved to Mirpurkhas and later to Hyderabad to save the life of the child, but in vain. I returned home with the body of my son.
How long the people will have to suffer atthehands ofsuch doctors? Unless such deaths are reported andthose who are responsible for them are not disciplined, such deaths will continue to occur.
