GUJRAT: Police on Friday recovered two persons dead in a car at a deserted place in a newlyestablished housing colony along GT Road.

Police said a passerby informed them about the situation and they recovered the bodies of a man and a woman in the car whose engine and air-conditioner were on.

Chaudhry Ulfat, the spokesman for the Jhelum police, said the deceased had been identified as Farzana Kausar, 32, ofKareempura, and Usman Ali, 35, of Peer Ghaib area in Jhelum city. He said the woman had a teenage daughter whereas the man had three children.

Police took the car into custody and the bodies were handed over to the families after autopsy at the Jhelum DHQ Hospital.

Police registered a case under Section 302 of Pakistan Penal Code on the report of Asim Durrani, a close relative of the deceased man. Correspondent
