GUJRAT: The district administration has planned to establish a vocational training institute for women at the Gujrat Kidney Centre where women belonging to the needy, poor families as well as physically challenged women will be given technical training.
The second noor of the Kidney Centre will be utilized for humanitarian purpose of technical training for women.
This was stated by Gujrat Deputy C o m m i s s i o n e r Muhammad Ali Randhawa while speaking at the certificate distribution ceremony at theGovernment Vocational Training Institute along the Railway Road here on Thursday.
At least 500 youths have completed the technical training in 11 different fields at the institute who were given the pass certiñcate by the DC and other guests on the occasion.
Mr Randhawa said the country badly needed the skilled human resource to cater to the needs of development projects in the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) whereas those who had complete d their training courses would be self-reliant people through working in various technical fields.
He said the cost oftraining was being afforded by the Punjab government that would also give Rs1,000 monthly stipend to each student being trained at these technical training institutes.
These institutes are also working in other towns of the Gujrat district such as Jalalpur Jattan, Kunjah, Lalamusa, Sara-iAlamgir, Dinga and Kotia Arab Ali Khan.
