KARACHl: The provincial education and literacy ministry on Saturday suspended the registration of 46 private schools which defied the government order for starting early summer vacation due to intense hot weather and opened their schools on Friday, officials said.
The directorate of inspection and registration of private institutions of the Sindh education and literacy ministry issued a list of 46 privately managed schools, which were handed over the letter of suspension of certificate of registration.
Of the suspended private schools, 41 were registered for secondary education; two impart O level education and one each was registered for O level and A level, intermediate and higher secondary education, the officials added.
`They have been issued the letter of suspension because of their defiance of the government order,` said a senior official in the ministry.
`The government order was intended to save children from health problems as had been warned by health experts and the meteorological department.
