TAXILA: The Hassanabdal police on Tuesday arrested two persons wanted in robbery, dacoity and drug peddling cases.
Looted valuables, arms and drugs were recovered from the suspects, Subdivisional Police Officer (SDPO) Mohammad Azhar Khan told reporters.
He said Mohammad Shah and Baseer Khan had snatched a car along with cash and other valuables from Afaq Shah in January this year. He said a police team arrested the suspects from their hideout in Charsadda and recovered the stolen car and other valuables from them.
The SDPO said drugs were also recovered from the suspects who confessed to their involvement in many robbery and dacoity cases.
Meanwhile, 17 cases were registered against property owners and tenants on the violation of Punjab Information of Temporary Residence Ordinance.
According to Taxila police, the property owners did not pass on the required particulars of their tenants to the police.
Eight people were booked by Wah Saddar and nine others by Taxila police.
