LAHORE: Eight people were injured, mostly members of a family, when a gas cylinder exploded at a home in GhaziabadonWednesday.

The roof of the house completely collapsed due to the intensity of the powerful blast. It also created panic in the vicinity, prompting nearby residents to leave their homes.

The police said six of a family and two passersby were injured, two of them critically, in the blast. The victims were trapped under the rubble of the collapsed roof, the police officials said. They were rescued by the Rescue staff and shifted to hospitals.
