QUETTA: The Balochistan Assembly passed Rs326.36 billion worth of provincial budget for the financial year 2017-18 on Wednesday evening.

The budget includes an allocation of Rs86.11bn for Public Sector Development Programme and around Rs240bn for non-developmentexpenditures.

The budget includes an allocation of Rs86.11bn for Public Sector Development Programme and around Rs240bn for non-developmentexpenditures.

During the assembly session, Finance Minister Sardar Muhammad Aslam Bizenjo pre-sented 58 demands for grant one by one. Forty-nine demands, worth Rs240bn, were for non-development and nine worth Rs86.11bn for the development sector.

Leader of the Opposidon Maulana Abdul Wasay of the JUI-F, Deputy Opposition Leader Zamarak Khan Piralizai of the ANP and other members did not submit any cut motion.-Staff Correspondent
