GULISTAN-i-Jauhar falls under the administrative control of Cantonment Board Faisal (CBF).

The CBF collects hundreds of thousands of rupees as property tax from the citizens and is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, yet all blocl(s around Jauhar Chowrangi have small heaps of garbage and the debris of illegal shops which now stand demolished. Dustbins, if any, are filled with waste.

Footpaths are broken, there are potholes and cracks on service lanes, vegetable and fruit vendors occupy the main road apart from the entire service lane facing Rabia City and Darul Sehat Hospital. Trucks, Suzuki vans and auto rickshaws are parked haphazardly. All this shows poor CBF management.

One can see polythene bags in every nook and cornernyingin the air,creating an unhealthy and polluted atmosphere.

Citizens too contribute to this filth, throwing waste.

Cleaners deployed by the CBF appear after 9.00am for cosmetic sweeping against the internationally adopted principle of garbage removal from 4.00am to 6.00am.
