Case against two armed men in `PTI candidate`s by-poll campaign`

MUZA FFA RGA R H: Alipur police have registered a case against two unidentified armed men allegedly accompanying the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI)candidatefromPP-272 by-poll, Moazzam Jatoi, for violating the code of conduct during the election campaign here on Tuesday.
The case was registered under section 11-b of the Punjab Arms Amendment 2015 and Punjab Arms Amendment Ordinance 1965at Alipur police station.
In the FIR, the police claimed that a team was patrolling in the provincial assembly constituency PP-272 when they found the two unidentified men bran-dishing weapons.
Police sources said the alleged incident occurred when the PTI candidate was campaigning in the constituency.
Though it was not mentioned in the FIR that the suspects were accompanying Moazzam Jatoi, the PTI candidate, however, denied the `allegation` and alleged that fake and baseless cases were being registered at the behest of the ruling PML-N to pressurise his voters.
He claimed that no armed person was in his car during the election campaign.
Meanwhile, some local politicians belonging to the PTI claimed that the party chairman Imran Khan would address a rally in Alipur next month, without giving any specific date.
