Punjab governor urges PTI to join dialogue

TAXILA: Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider has called on the PTI leadership to come forward for dialogue, emphasising that constructive engagement is the only viable solution to political challenges.

Addressing party workers at Mohra Chowk near Hassanabdal, where many political personalities announced to join the PPP, he advised the PTI leadership to adopt democratic attitude for resolving political issues. He said in a democratic system, dialogue is the best way to move forward.

`No leader in the world has ever succeeded without sitting at the negotiation table. Issues cannot be resolved through vandalism or on the streets, he said.

Criticising the PTI`s political plans, the governor said, `Their 90-day roadmap will achieve nothing.

He claimed that many prominent figures expected to contest the next general elections will be joining the PPP.

`In Attock, a fresh political batch is being prepared to be inducted into the PPP,` he claimed.

The governor said thatreorganisation ofthe PPP Punjab had been completed and its recommendations will be sent to Chairman Bilawal Bhutto.

He acknowledged that PPP workers had been demoralised and inactive but asserted that the party was regaining its momentum.

`We can gather 15,000 to 20,000 people at the Governor House on just a day`s notice,` he claimed.

He said seven to eight Members of Provincial Assembly (MPAs) were also expected to join the PPP soon.
