PESHAWAR: Pakistan People`s Party-Shaheed Bhutto (PPP-SB) has announced to field candidates for all provincial assembly seats in the upcoming general elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Addressing a news conference at Peshawar Press Club on Monday, PPP-SB provincial president Saleem Shah said re-organisation of the party would be completed within three months in the province.
He said that PPP-SB would field candidates for all provincial assembly seats in the province during the next elections to show its presence. He said that the party was following the mission of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and raising voice for the rights of downtrodden across the country.
Mr Shah said that PPP-SB chairperson Ghinwa Bhutto and Zulfiqar Junior would enable the party to play role in the mainstream politics.
He asked PPP-SB workers to complete organisation of the party at union council, tehsil and district levels and start preparations for the next general elections.
On the occasion, scores of workers of PPP from various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa announced to join PPP-SB.
Flanked by PPP-SB women wing president Reena Malik, provincial chief organiser Advocate Mukhtar Ahmad, AmirSaeed and others, Mr Shah said that the party would implement its manifesto of `Roti, Kapra and Makan` to fulfil the mission of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.
He said that PPP-SB wanted to eliminate terrorism, corruption, lawlessness, unemployment and injustice to bring a real change in fate of poor people. He said that PPP-SB would send honest and dedicated people to assemblies.
He said that tickets would be awarded on merit.
Mr Shah said that PPP-SB would not make any electoral alliance or seat adjustment with other parties in the upcoming elections. He said that corrupt people should be held accountable and the looted money should bebroughtbacktothecountry.
Speaking on the occasion, Reena Malik said the mass contact and membership drive would be launched after completion of reorganisation of the party.
She said that change could not be brought through hollow slogans and introduction of new faces.
Amir Saeed said on the occasion that provincial government failed to tackle the issue of dengue fever outbreak despite making tall claims about introducing health reforms in the province.
He said that Punjab government extended support to health authorities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to control dengue fever outbreak.
