PESHAWAR: An anti-terrorism court here on Monday convicted seven kidnappers and sentenced them to life imprisonment in a case of the kidnapping of a minor boy for ransom last year.

After the completion of trial, judge Abdur Rauf Khan ruled that the prosecution had proved its case against the seven accused, including Altaf Khan, Asad, Shehzad Gul, Shahid, Musharraf, Alaf Khan and Atlas Khan.

He also convicted one of the accused, Atlas Khan, an Afghan national, under Section 14 of the Foreigners Act for illegal stay in the country and sentenced him to one-year rigorous imprisonment on that count.
