FOR the last few weeks, the Government Post-Graduate College, Bannu, has turned into a battlefield. The workers of different political parties enter the college with arms and start firing at each other and force students to abandon their classes.

A few days ago, a student lost his life, and two others were severely injured. While students with weapons in their hands roam freely, the college administration and the police act indifferent. The police station is not far from the college but unable to control the situation. I request the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister and police to take action.

To avoid further bloodshed, police should be permanently posted at the college. To ensure the safety of students, all political activities at the college should be banned.
