KARACHI: A teenage boy was shot dead and another wounded in a Malir locality on Monday evening, police said.

They said that gunmen fired at some people standing near a residential complex within the jurisdiction of the Al-Falah police station.

As a result, two teenagers sustained critical wounds and wereshif ted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where doctors declared Syed Daniyal Naeem, 19, dead on arrival.

Dr Seemin Jamali, the head of the JPMC`s emergency department, said that Taha Nisar, 17, was admitted for treatment.

`The incident appears to be the outcome of a clash between two groups in the area,` claimed Shah Faisal SP Javed Aslam.

Tension griped the locality till late in the night.
