KARACHl: The Muharram moon has been sighted, according to an announcement by Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee chairman Mufti Munibur Rehman on Thursday.

The new Hijri year, 1439, will begin on Sept 22 and Yaum-i-Ashur will be observed on Sunday, Oct 1.-APP
