OKARA: A young man was stabbed to death allegedly over a monetary dispute on Sunday night near Dipalpur Chowk.

As per the FIR, the victim, Maqsood, who sold beverages on a pushcart, had an argument with the suspect, Zain, over a monetary issue four days back.

On Sunday night, when Maqsood, along with brother Omer Hayat, was returning home from his workplace in the city`sSarafa Bazaar, the suspect intercepted them near Dipalpur Chowk.

Both exchanged words again and during a scuffle, Zain stabbed Maqsood twice with a knife, leaving him critically injured. The injured youth was shifted to the district headquarters hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds.

On the report of the victim`s brother, Omer, City B division police registeredacaseundersection 302 of the PPC against Zain and arrested him. Correspondent
