LAHORE: The Punjab Mass Transit Authority on Tuesday partially suspended the Orange Line Metro Train (OLMT) service in the city, without any prior notice, causing difficulties for the commuters.
According to the authority, the metro train service was suspended partially because ofthe annualurs of Tehreek Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) founder Allama Khadim Hussain Rizvi, because the party`s headquartersislocated on Multan Road on the train`s route.
A commuter said the train service was not available at three stops located near the TLP headquarters.
As the decision to suspend the metro services was made without any prior notice, a large number of commuters, especially girl students and working women, had to face problems in reaching their destinations.
