ISLAMABAD: Chief Election Commissioner retired Justice Sardar Mohammad Raza Khan has directed that 10 per cent quota for women should be strictly observed in future employments at the Election Commission to Pakistan (ECP).
He made the orders on the eve of National Working Women`s Day, and said that women should be encouraged to get their computerised national identity cards and to register their votes.
He invited women to participate in the elections as candidates as well as voters and said doing so will malce Pakistan stronger.
He appreciated the services of women working at ECP and emphasised the induction of women in all ECP offices across the country. Staff Reporter
