PTl activists booked in Lakki for holding public meeting

LAKKI MARWAT/BAJAUR: The police have registered a case against scores PTl leaders for organising a public gathering in Naurang town of Lakki Marwat despite ban imposed by the district administration.
Shaheed Asmatullah Khan Khattak police station SHO Abdul Samad Quraishi is the complainant in the FIR.
Mr Quraishi said he was on a patrol when he received information about the public meeting organised by Pakistan Tehreek-iInsaf leaders at the residence of Tariq Saeed, a former candidate of the provincial assembly. He said more than 1,000 workers were in attendance at the meeting chaired by Tariq Saeed. Mr Saeed is the nephew of Naseer Mohammad Khan Maidadkhel, a former MNA and a key member of Marwat Qaumi Jirga.
The SHO said the other leaders who attended the meeting included Nekza Ali, Tauseef Khan, Fidaullah, Arif, Ishaq Wazir, Daud, Farhan, Iqbal of Lakki, Israr, Jamal, Burhan, Iqbal, Barkat Khan and Imran.
He said the PTl workers had assembled to discuss the upcoming polls.
Meanwhile in Bajaur, Pakistan Tehreek-iInsaf local chapter senior vice president and elder son of PTl former provincial minister Sikandar Zeb Khan, who had been in jail for the past seven days, was re-arrested soon after his release, police and his family sources said on Thursday.
They said Sikandar Zeb, who had been in jail since Dec 14 in a case of violation of district administration`s Section 144, was re-arrested shortly after a local court issued his release order.
