LARKANA: Students of the Bibi Aseefa Dental College continued their protest after boycotting regular classes to press the management of the Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University (SMBBMU) for early registration of the college with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council.
The protest entered the eleventh day on Friday when talking to Dawn, student leader Zain Ansari, who waits for his final year’s examination, said it was the height of obstinacy that despite repeated requests, the vice chancellor and pro-VC were reluctant to meet them.
“We made many requests through applications, but in vain.
Their rigid stand has multiplied the problems of students and complicated the situation on the campus,” he said.
Another student, Sadakat Soomro, said the fate of 250 students of the college hung in the balance as the college had not been recognised so far by the PMDC.
