Lowest level of environmental pollutants recorded

ISLAMABAD: The lowest level of hazardous environmental pollutants in the capital this season was recorded on Tuesday.

According to the daily Islamabad ambient air quality report from the Pakistan Environment Protection Agency, the average level of nitrogen dioxide (NO2) was 13.7g/m compared to 16.2g/m the day before,and the levelof sulphur dioxide (SO2) were 5.53g/m compared to 5.66g/m, against the National Environment Quality Standards level`s of 80g/m and 120g/m, respectively.

Particulate matter of 2.5 microns also declined from 16.36g/m to 6.73g/m; before the current spell of rain this had reached 32g/m, the report said. APP
