PPP starts preparations for next elections

PESHAWAR: As a part of preparations for the next elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan Peoples Party has announced names of the members of parliamentary boards for different divisions to recommend candidates for the polls.

Sajid Khan, a member of PPP media team, told this correspondent that partyprovincial president Najamuddin Khan notified parliamentary board for southern districts of the province.

PPP central deputy secretary information Faisal Karim Kundi, who is also special assistant to prime minister, will be convener of the board. Other members of the board include former governor Barrister Masood Kausar, Anwar Saifullah, Federal Minister Sajid Turi, Amjad Afridi, Nek Daraz Wazir, Engineer Amanul Haq Ghaznikhel, Mohsin Ali Khan and Jabar Khattak.

The board will monitor the affairs of the upcoming elections and inform the central leadership of the party by pre-paring its recommendations regarding the distribution of tickets.

The party has also notified parliamentary board for Malakand division. PPP provincial senior vice president Mohammad Ali Shah Bacha, who is also special assistant to prime minister, will be convenerofthe board.

Other members of the board include former senator Ahmed Hassan Khan, former MNA Syed Akhunzada Chatan, Akram Khan, Mohammad Humayun Khan, Malik Azmat Khan, Dr Afsarul Mulk and Dost Mohammad Khan.

The convener of PPP parliamentary board for Peshawar and Mardan divisions is Syed Zahir Ali Shah. Other mem-bers include of the board include Arbab Alamgir, Syed Ayub Shah, Karamatullah Chagharmtai, Liaquat Shabab, Farooq Hoti, Asad Rahimdad Khan and Ali Khan.

Meanwhile, the party has also announced office-bearers for Peoples Doctors Forum (PDF) in different districts of the province.

According to a statement, PDF provincial president Prof Nisar announced cabinets for five districts in consultation with the leadership of the party.

For Abbottabad, Dr Sardar Ayub was made president, Syed Abbas Anwar senior vicepresident, Hamid Aman vice-president, Haroon Rashid general secretary, Waqar Qabal deputy general secretary, Syed Musim Ali press secretary and Mohammad Zahid finance secretary.

For Peshawar, Dr Hamid Banuri was named president, Dr Sajida senior vice-president, Afsar Ali vice-president-I, Tariq Saeed vice-president-II, Waqar Afridi general secretary, Asad Khalil press secretary, Dr Shal(eel ñnance secretary and Ajmal Khalil coordination secretary.

In Nowshera, Dr Jawad Ahmad is president of PDF, Humayun Khan senior vice-president, Tariq Jadoon vice-president, Qazi Ansarul Haq general secretary, Naveed Alam Safi press secretary and Sanaullah finance secretary.

For Charsadda, Dr Nahar was named president, Syed Makil Shah senior vice-president, Dost Mohammad vicepresident, Zahirullah general secretary, Razaullah press secretary and Dr Jalal finance secretary.

For Mansehra, Dr Syed Mohammad was made president, Dr Seemab vice-president, Jabran Khalil general secretary, Dr Ijaz press secretary and Babar Ehsan Enance secretary.
