NAROWAL: A man was killed and two others were injured when their rivals opened fire on them in Sheikhupura on Wednesday.

As per Rescue 1122 and police, Ayaz (47), a resident of Barkat Colony, Chitti Kothi Road, Sheikhupura, was coming out of his house, with his son Amir and a relative,Parvez Ali, when their rivals opened fire with automatic weapons.

The attackers fled away brandishing weapons.

As a result, Ayaz died onthe spot and the two others were seriously injured.

A rescue Rescue 1122 team, immediately reaching the spot on being informed of the incident, provided first aid to both the injured and shifted them to the Government Hospital, Sheikhupura.

A team of B Division police reached the spot, collected evidence and recorded statements of eyewitnesses.

The police shifted the body to the hospital for the postmortem examination.

According to rescue sources, the incident was a result of an old enmity.
