THIS is with reference to the report `Fazl backtracks on no-trust claims after backlash` (Feb 17). The report brought to my mind a joke that was once published by the Reader`s Digest.
A bus full of politicians was speeding down a country road when it suddenly swerved into a field and crashed straight into a tree. Aroused by the noise, the farmer who owned the field went over to investigate. Once the farmer was there, helookedaround, dugupapiton his own, and buried the politicians.
However, a few days later, the local sheriff drove by and saw the overturned bus which had been carrying the politicians. He knocked on the farmhouse door, and asked the farmer where were all the politicians. The farmer told the sheriff that he had buried them.
`They were all dead,` the sheriff wondered. `Well, some of them said they were not,` replied the farmer, `but you know how politicians lie.
