KARACHl: Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab inaugurated the three-day Safari Adventure Festival at Safari Park on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that over 50,000 visitors are expected at the festival. He announced plans to hold similar events in other parks of the city.

He shared his delight at seeing public parks filled with people and reiterated the city`s commitment to providing quality recreational facilities.

The mayor noted that Karachi is undergoing significant changes aimed at restoring its charm and vibrancy.

He expressed optimism about the ongoing positive developments in Karachi, noting the importance of showcasing the city`s true spirit to the world.

He highlighted the successful hosting of events such as the Peace Conference, Champions Trophy, and Defense Exhibition as evidence of the city`s potential. The Adventure Festival, he emphasised, is dedicated to the citizens of Karachi and is part of a broader effort to revive parks and sports grounds across the city.

To a question, he said that two elephants at Safari Park would receive proper treatment and expert care.

Deputy Mayor Salman Abdullah Murad, City Council Parliamentary Leader Jaman Darwan, Dil Muhammad, PPP leader Shakeel Chaudhry, and Senior DirectorRecreation Imran Rajput were among those present at the festival`s opening ceremony. -PPI
