LAHORE: Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider has said the jawans and officers of the army who sacrificed their lives for the country are our pride.

`Terrorists are enemies of the country and their cowardly actions cannot demoralise us. Our security forces will never allow their nefarious objectives to succeed,` he said while offering condolences to the family of Lieutenant Hassan Ashraf at his residence here on Saturday.

Mr Ashraf was martyred in North Waziristan.

He said the doors of the Governor House were always open for the families of the martyrs. `We are proud of the soldiers who sacrificed their today for our tomorrow. I salute the mothers of the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country. The entire nation is with the security forces in the war against terror,` he said.
