LAHORE: Alhamra marked Pakistan Day celebrations with an art exhibition-cum-competition titled `Journey of Struggle` at Alhamra Cultural Complex, Gaddafi Stadium, onWednesday.

The Lahore Arts Council organised the painting competition to pay homage to Pakistan movement leaders, brave sons of the soil, mothers, sisters and daughters in connection with the Pakistan Day. In the competition, young artistspainted portraits of Pakistan movement leaders. Executive Director Lahore Arts Council Nazia Jabeen said the event aimed at creating awareness among the young generation about the struggle for freedom. She further said the young artists performed excellent duringthe competition. The results of the competition will be announced on Thursday(today).
