MUZAFFARGARH: Three transformers were stolen from Qasba Gujrat sub-division of Mepco on Tuesday night.

Thieves reportedly cut the electricity wire from the main line and then dismantled the transformers, took out the oil and copper wire and fled.

Mahmood Kot police registered the case against unknown accused.

Superintendent Engineer of Mepco Malik Yaqub Gudara said the transformers would be replaced.

Mahmood Kot SHO Kashif Asghar said a gang was active targeting Mepco transformers. Correspondent
