Woman`s brothers ordered to give her property share

TOBA TEK SINGH: Punjab Ombudsperson Nabila Hakim Ali Khan in her verdict in a case ordered a woman`s brothers to give her share in the inherited property.

The ombudsperson, while hearing a case under the Women`s Property Rights Act at Faisalabad, gave the verdict in favour of a complainant, Rahila Khan, and made it binding for her brothers to give her share worth Rs3 million in the inherited property.

She also heard cases of eight other women and issued summons to their relatives to appear before the court for refusing to give the complainants shares in the inherited properties. She was visiting the district to hear the women`s cases.

One died and two persons injured critically when roof of an animal shed caved in on them on Wednesday at Faisalabad in Chak 228 RB located on Jarranwala Road. Deceased was identified as Alam Sher 37 while both shifted to DHQ hospital included Muhammad Kashif 43 and Muhammad Yasin 35.They were rescued by Rescue 1122 staffers and villagers by removing debris.
