Youngster`s death Police declare marriage certificate fake

SIALKOT: As the investigation of a Christian youngster`s mysterious death continues, police have declared the marriage certificate presented to a localcourt by the prime accused fake.

Police say Naila Masih by claiming herself to be the wife of Sharoon Masih, 22, who was found dead at Manjkey-Badiana village of Pasrur on Jan 23, had tried to misguide the investigators. They had earlier suspected that he was killed by the family of Naila Masih who was Sharoon`s social media friend. Police said the marriage certificate had been found fake after verification by the church.

Meanwhile, Pasrur`s Additional District and Sessions Judge Shaukat Kamal Dar extended the pre-arrest bail of Naila Masih till April 29. She appeared before the court on Saturday andsought extension to bail for the third time.

The body of Sharoon Masih, 22, was found at Manjkey-Badiana village of Pasrur on Jan 23.

Earlier, Naila Masih, through her counsel, presented the death certificate to the Sialkot police.

Issued by PIMS, it said Sharoon Masih of Gujranwala was brought to the facility at 12:43am (during the night of Jan 31, 2017) in critical condition.

He died after there hours at 3:35am, it said while revealing that Sharoon had a severe head injury when he was brought to PIMS and he seemed tohave attempted suicide 15 days before his death.

The PIMS Islamabad management handed over Sharoon`s body to his wife Naila Masih on Jan 31, claimed the certificate.

How the body was found in fields at a Pasrur village the very next day is what the Badiana police have been investigating.
