KARACHI: The Government of Pakistan have agreed to reduce their imports from dollar areas during the fiscal year 1950-51 to the extent of 75 per cent of the 1948-49 figures. The reduction has been made at the implicit request of the British Government for the maintenance of her dollar pool. This was disclosed by the Pakistan Finance Minister, Mr Ghulam Mohammad, before his departure for London... .

After the Commonwealth Finance Ministers` Conference in London last year, it will be recalled, Pakistan had agreed to cut her dollar imports by 25 per cent during year 1949-50. The Finance Minister, however, declined to make any statement about his mission to the United Kingdom. He is expected to stay in the UK for about a week.
