KOHAT: The district administration on Wednesday seized 10 excavators and other equipment during an operation against illegal placer gold mining along the Indus River in the Gumbat area.

Gumbat assistant commissioner Syed Mukhtar Shah led the operation, accompanied by the SHOs of Gumbat and Balitang police stations.
