2022-05-23
KARACHI: The Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University Lyari, inaugurated amid much fanfare in 2010 by the Pakistan Peoples Party government, will soon have a proper university campus as the provincial government has finally allotted 200 acres for the purpose.

Well-placed sources said that the new campus of the BBSU would be built on 200 acres in the Deh Chhatara region of Keamari.

They said that the deputy commissioner of district Keamari was told by the Land Utilisation Department of the provincial government that the land had been assigned under Section 10(1) of the Colonisation of Government Lands 1912.

The sources said that PPP MPA Liaquat Ali Askani had written letter to the CM requesting to allot 100 acres for Lyari university campus as its establishment would encourage people of districts South and Keamari to complete their higher studies. -Staff Reporter
