Army official`s body found in Karak

LAKKI MARWAT: Body of an employee of the Pakistan Army was found dumped in the mountainous area of Karak district on Sunday.

On Saturday, the police recovered four bodies, including two security personnel, who had gone missing four days ago.

The local residents spotted the bodies and informed the police, who moved them to a hospital.

On Sunday, police in Karak recovered the body of a 27-year-old security man.

The police said the body was transported to the hospital.

Irfanullah, father of the deceased, told police that Tahir Irfan had left home on a motorcycle after noon, but he did not return.

He said the family tried to contact him on his mobile phone, but both of his SIM cards were switched off.

`On Sunday morning, while we were searching for him, someone informed us that a body is lying in the mountain near a hotel, he claimed, telling police he along with relatives reached there and found the body of his son lying there.

He said his son had been killed with a firearm and that his family had no enmity with anyone.

The police registered a case against unknown killer(s) and began an investigation.
