DERA GHAZI KHAN: Rajanpur Police successfully thwarted an attempt by Katcha criminals to kidnap a man near Rojhan Mazari early in the morning.

According to the police spokesperson, the incident occurred around 4am when armed criminals intercepted a truck near Indus Highway and abducted its driver.

Police followed the criminals and a heavy exchange of gunfire between police and the kidnappers took place. The criminals also fired rockets at the police during the encounter.

At the end, the kidnappers fled, leaving the hostage behind. The abducted driver was identified as Ham1, a resident of district Kashmore, Sindh.
