NEW YORK: Adviser to the Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs, Sartaj Aziz, held a meeting with Foreign Minister of Iran, Javad Zarif at the UN on Monday.
Subjects of bilateral interest, including the Pak-Iran gas-pipeline were discussed. Views were also exchanged on regional situation, a press statement issued by Pakistan mission has said.
It was decided that the momentum generated by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif`s visit to Iran earlier this year should be maintained through enhanced interactions between the two countries at various levels.
Pakistan`s Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry and Ambassador to United States, Jalil Abbas Jilani also attended the meeting.
