DADU: Teachers observed a token hunger strike for ñve hoursinfront of the local press club on Monday on a call given by the Mehran Teachers Association Sindh.
The association`s provincial leaders, Shamsuddin Soho and Ali Hyder Chandio, led the protest.
Their demands includedremoval of all subject teachers promoted through another cadre or ex-cadre, establishment of a teachers colony in every district, appointment of all primary teachers in grade 16 and formation of a committee which should meet after every three months to consider promotions.
