Two held in deaf-mute girl`s murder case

BAH AWA LPUR: The Uch Sharif police have arrested two people in the murder case of a girl with hearing and speech challenges.

Deceased Bchal Mai, daughter of Abdul Karim Khokhar, was found murdered in nearby fields and her golden earrings stolen. Police took into custody Abdul Rehman and Nazir, also with hearing and speech losses, and both confessed to killing Bachal to steal her earrings.

DENGUE: Another man was tested dengue positive at the Bahawal Victoria Hospital (BVH) on Thursday.

BVH focal person Dr Aamir Bokhari told Dawn that Afzaal Husain, a driver in Lahore DHA, was being treated in the special dengue ward. This is the 10th case of the year.
