GUJRAT: Four gunmen looted cash and valuables worth Rs19.5 million from a house in Dillo village of Sadar Kharian police precincts late on Wednesday.

Robbers barged into the house of Faryaz Rehmat Gujjar, remained there for two hours and made off with 89 tola gold ornaments, two jewellery sets of diamond and diamond ring, Rs1.125 million, two smartwatches and two wrist watches. The police are looking into the house.

Earlier, robbers struck the house of an expatriate and took off Rs10 million worth cash and valuables in Dalia village of Kunjah around a week ago.

Also, two journalists and some traders were mugged in the last few days in the city areas, however, the police are unable to trace the robber gangs. Locals demanded Chief Minister Parvez Elahi take notice of the incidents and direct the police to take measures for their protection. Correspondent
