LAHORE: Government Girl`s High School, Shahdara, students took keen interest in the symbolic waste picking exercise held at the institution on Wednesday.
The activity was part of `Fight the Bite Drive`, arranged by the Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) in the city to create awareness about dengue.
LWMC officials Jamil Khawar and Umair Khan gave the students a brief presentation, followed by screening of an animated documentary on the preventive measures against dengue and role of the company in `making Lahore clean`.
They also informed the students how the public could contribute to the exercise.
The activity was aimed at sensitising students on the importance of cleanliness, said a spokesperson.
